Globular cluster ISM: how to get rid of it?
1 : Astrophysics Research Institute [Liverpool]
It is well known that the observed gas content of Galactic Globular Clusters is a few orders of magnitude less than the mass lost by stars during their evolution.
Here we use the RAMSES code to model the GC's intra-cluster medium and include for he first time a realistic amount and distribution of stellar mass-loss, and the energetic input of post-AGB stars. This work allows us to determine if it is possible to get rid of the intra-cluster medium between Galactic disk crossings.
