Extragalactic filaments are massively important in determining the fate of the galaxy it supplies matter to. Filaments channel gas and angular momentum coherently to the disk, thereby informing the galaxy's mass and morohology. This talk aims to answer some key questions on the structure of filaments, whether they are self shielded, cold cored and how they evolve through time.
