The early stages of galaxy formation, in which star formation and mergers were most active, are important in understanding the properties of observed galaxies. With the high resolution in the New Horizon simulation, we can investigate when the disks in massive field galaxies begin to develop and how their masses grow. In addition, we can expect to see the origins of structures of MW-like galaxies through the evolution of structures after the disks are settled.
